👉 Applications are invited from candidates fulfilling the educational qualifications and other 

conditions to fill-up the vacancies of teaching staff during the Academic Session 2021-2022 . 

The appointment will be for a period of not more than 200 ( Two Hundred ) working days and 

not less than 7 (Seven) working days or appointment of a selected candidate through Railway 

Recruitment Board or filling-up the vacancy though promotion of existing regular teaching 

staff whichever is earlier and subject to any other instruction issued from time to time.

The appointment is purely on contract basis on a fixed consolidated monthly remuneration. 

The details of vacancies for contract appointment are as follows.

👉 Categories :

1). Primary Teacher (PRT) - 4

▪️ Consolidated monthly remuneration : Rs. 21,250/

2). Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

(i). English

(ii). Maths

(iii). Science 

👉 Number of vacancies : One post each for all 

three subjects. (Total – 3)

👉 Consolidated monthly remuneration :  Rs. 26,250/

3). Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

(i). Hindi

(ii). Physics

(III). Biology

(iv). Chemistry

(v). History.

(vi). Sociology.

👉 Number of vacancies : One post each for all six 

subjects. (Total – 6) : Rs. 27500/-.

➡️ The Number of vacancies shown are anticipated and it may vary as per actual requirement 

arising in the Academic session 2021-2022.

Age Limit: - The candidate should be between the age of 18 and 65 years (as per KVS rules ) 

as on date of interview and selected candidate shall not be eligible to continue their contract 

services beyond 65 years.

Essential Qualifications for Teaching Posts. 

A. Primary Teachers (PRT) .

i. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent ) with at least 50% marks and 2-Years Diploma in 

Elementary Education (By whatever name known)


Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent ) with at least 45% marks and 2-years Diploma in 

Elementary Education ( By whatever name known ), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition 

Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002 .

➡️ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent ) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of 

Elementary Education (B.El. Ed.)


Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-years Diploma in Education 

(Special Education) 


Graduation and Two-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) / B.Ed.


Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), to be conducted by the appropriate Government in 

accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.

Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English media.

B. Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT):-

i). Graduation ( in the teaching subject ) and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (By 

whatever name known)


Graduation ( in the teaching subject ) with at least 50% marks and one year Bachelor in 

Education ( B. Ed. )


Graduation ( in the teaching subject ) with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education 

( B.Ed. ), in accordance with the NCTE ( Recognition Norms and Procedure ) Regulations issued 

from time to time in this regard.


Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of 

Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed.)


Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years B.A./B.Sc. or 

B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed.


Graduation (in the teaching subject) with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special 



ii). Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), to be conducted by the appropriate Government 

in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.


Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English media.

👉 2). Diploma /Degree Course in Teacher Education :- A Diploma/ Degree course in 

teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education ( NCTE ) only shall 

be considered. However , in case of Diploma in Education ( Special Education ) and B.Ed. 

( Special Education ), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (ROI) only shall 

be considered.


Essential : 

A). Two years' Integrated

Post Graduate M.Sc Course of 'Regional college of Education of NCERT in the concerned 



👉Master Degree from recognised University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the 

following subjects: 

(i). PGT ( Hindi ) - Hindi or Sanskrit with Hindi as one of the subjects at Graduate level. 

(ii). PGT (Physics) - Physics / Electronics/Applied Physics/ Nuclear Physics.

(iii). PGT (Chemistry) - Chemistry / Bio.Chem.

(iv). PGT( Biology ) – Botany / Zoology / Life Sciences/Bio Sciences / Genetics / Micro Biology/ Bio 

 Technology /Molecular Bio / Plant Physiology provided they have studied Botany and 

 Zoology at Graduation level.

(v).  PGT (History) - History

(vi). PGT (Sociology) - Sociology


B). B.Ed. or equivalent degree from recognised university.

C). Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English media.

👉 Desirable : - Knowledge of computer applications

Note for all posts : The candidates should have good command on English and Hindi 


Candidates having knowledge of computer applications and additional qualifications in 

activities such as Music, Yoga, Physical Educations, counseling etc. shall be given preference.

➡️ Other terms and conditions:

👉. The Contract teachers should perform all the jobs related to academics including evaluation 

work for which no extra payment will be made.

👉 Contract teachers will have no claim or right for appointment on regular basis and will not 

form part of the cadre of regular Railway teachers, also they are not entitled for any other 

facilities of regular employees. 

👉 Selected candidates has to undergo a medical fitness examination by Railway Medical 

authority before entering into the contract for their medical fitness. Also they should produce 

a police verification certificate and character certificate issued by a gazetted Officer at the 

timing of joining duty.

👉 If the candidates are already in employment, they should produce no objection certificate 

from their current employer. 

👉 Original certificates in support of educational/Technical qualification and proof for age are 

to be produced by the candidates at the time of registration/ interview.

👉 The contract teachers shall not have any right or claim for continuity in service or extension 

of contract period or regularization of service. 

👉 No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.

👉 In the event of any wrong information/fake certificates/testimonials/discrepancy in the 

particulars being detected at any stage, the candidature/contract may be terminated 

summarily without any notice and necessary action as per extant law will be taken against 


👉 The selected candidates will have to execute an agreement with Railway administration for 

their contractual appointment. 

👉 The contract teachers are entitled for monthly consolidated remuneration and not entitled 

for any other perks/facilities. In case of absence from duty on working days pro rata recovery 

shall be made.

👉 Contract teachers are not entitled for vacation pay and for vacation period the

remuneration payable is on pro rata basis only.

👉 Candidates should have requisite academic qualification on the date of Interview. Those 

who are appearing at and / or awaiting results of final examination are not eligible. Academic 

and Technical Qualification must be from a recognized Institution / Board, otherwise 

candidature will be rejected. Engagement on Contract basis of the candidates will be subject 

to their being found suitable and in order of merit by the Selection Committee

👉 The contract teachers appointed for a period less than a month will be paid on pro rata 

basis only.

👉 The calculation of pro rata remuneration will be as follows;

( Consolidated monthly remuneration x Number of days worked )

👉 The decision of this office in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of 

the applications, selection, allotment of posts to selected candidates will be final and 

binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this 


👉 Separate application should be submitted for each category, if applying for more than 

one post.

👉 Candidates called for interview must bring the following original documents along with 

two copies of the documents at the time of interview.

 1. Date of birth certificate. 

 2. NOC from the current Employer, if employed.

 3. Teaching Experience Certificate

 4. Academic / Educational Qualification of a recognized

 Institution / Board. (Mark Sheet, Degree certificate / passing certificate etc..)

 6. Aadhaar card and PAN card.

 7. Duly filled application form in prescribed format along with self 

 attested copies of all certificate/documents with passport size photograph.

Preference will be given to those 

who possessing qualification higher than those prescribed for the post / teaching experience 

from Kendriya Vidhyalaya, Government Schools and other reputed Schools. 

Applications not 

in prescribed format, applications without copies of required documents , only CV/Resume 

shall be summarily rejected.
